Sea Kelp Bioferment -- A natural extract derived by fermentation of Sea Kelp using Lactobacillus, the same bacteria that produces yogurt, sour cream and sour dough breads, among many other foods. Fermentation breaks down the cellular tissue of the kelp leaf, thereby increasing the bioavailability of the naturally occurring chemical compounds abundant in kelp. Sea Kelp Bioferment makes a natural gel, a perfect hydrating base for our serum.

Copper Tripeptide-1 -- Also known as GHK-Cu, this beautifully blue colored peptide is naturally occurring in the body. It is known to encourage wound healing by stimulating degradation of unhealthy, supersized collagen found in scar tissue and by promoting synthesis of regular collagen, elastin, proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans. Copper Tripeptide-1 is an anti-aging active with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant skin benefits.

Studies show Copper Tripeptide-1 can improve skin clarity, smoothness, and elasticity, thereby reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Acetyl Octapeptide-3 -- Welcome to the world of a safer and gentler alternative to Botulinum Toxin, topically targeting the same wrinkle-formation mechanism in a very different way. This anti wrinkle octapeptide is an elongation of the famous hexapeptide Argireline®.  It reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes.

Snow Mushroom Extract -- a rich source of polysaccharides and has shown some ability to help hydrate skin by binding moisture to its surface.  This extract is 400x as moisturizing as sodium hyaluronate in improving skin softness as well as diminishing signs of fine lines usually associated with dry skin, while also decreasing the feel of skin tightness. It works well in both low and high humidity conditions and is very effective at “puffing” the skin by way of moisturization to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 

Sodium PCA -- the sodium salt of pyroglutamic acid (also known as PCA). PCA is a naturally occurring component of human skin and a part of the "natural moisturizing factors" (NMF) that maintain a healthy epidermis. Sodium PCA is very hygroscopic, attracting moisture from the air.  We include it because of how well it imparts a moist feeling to skin, an underrated gem!   

Betaine -- from GMO-free sugar beet. It offers a wide variety of benefits in formula, including moisture regulation, irritation reduction, and protection for skin and hair.
