This bar makes my hair and scalp feel so clean! I'll use it on days when I've had a good workout because regular shampoo doesn't get my hair clean enough. It's great for your body as well, just don't apply it to your nether regions. That skin is a bit too sensitive, just trust me lol
TALLOW SHAMPOO BAR (4.5 oz) - Zero WasteAdd to Wishlist
Zero waste natural hair care is here! Our Tallow Shampoo is packaged in a biodegradable wrap and crafted using traditional soap-making techniques. We make them with purposeful and nourishing ingredients to deeply cleanse your hair and scalp.
Let the simple nature of these Shampoo Bars surprise you while you enjoy knowing they haven't contributed plastics and unnecessary chemicals to our oceans.
To use, wet hair and Shampoo Bar. Lather with your hands first and then apply bar directly to hair, lifting sections of hair as you go along to thoroughly massage shampoo into scalp. Rinse. Follow with our Herbal Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse* or our Hair Conditioner Bar.
Available in Unscented, Mango-Tangerine, and Mint-Tea Tree.
Be sure to store your Tallow Shampoo Bar on a soap saver or sponge for its longest life.
*Because our Shampoo Bars are technically soaps, the pH is higher than typical synthetic shampoo. It is a good idea to use a vinegar rinse to reduce pH. If you opt not to purchase ours, it is easy to make a suitable one at home. Mix one part apple cider vinegar to one part water in a quart sized container. Pour over hair right after rinsing out shampoo. Then follow with a very quick, cooler water rinse.
New to using solid Shampoo? When transitioning to a natural solid Shampoo Bar like ours, your hair may feel weighted or waxy at first. That's because silicone from synthetic shampoo is lifting from your hair and scalp and natural sebum production is adjusting. This waxy feeling will go away after a few days, however, it can take a few weeks for this transition period to occur. We generally recommend only washing your hair 2-3 times per week. For faster results, mix 1-2 tsp. of bentonite clay with apple cider vinegar to form a paste-like mask. Apply to scalp and allow it to completely dry. Rinse with warm water. Our Dead Sea Mask applied to scalp may work the same. Be sure to follow the directions in the product description.
Note: Hair care is highly individual. This type of shampoo is not an ideal product for everyone. If it doesn't work well for your hair simply use as an awesome soap for your body!

Doesn't have a lot of lather, but it did clean my hair. Rinsed very well.
This was my first time using a shampoo bar, but I wanted to try it because I like the ingredients. It left my hair feeling really soft and clean and not weighed down/waxy. The scent mint-tea tree scent is lovely.
I love tallow so I decided to try this and I definitely like how natural it is however I have noticed it leaves a waxy layer on my hair that makes it hard to brush though and weighs my hair down but I will continue to use and see if my hair adapts to something so natural
This is a family hit! We have been looking for a natural shampoo that WORKS with ingredients we like. Well, our search is over! This shampoo bar leaves our hair feeling clean and soft. The scent (tangerine) is not overpowering either which is a big plus for us. Thank you Buffalo Gal!
I have mostly been using this shampoo bar to wash my hair for the past three months. It's easy to use, and it cleans well without drying my hair. The bar will last for a very long time. I have thin, fine hair that I color with henna, so I appreciate a natural shampoo without citrus oils (which will strip the henna).
I have used shampoo bars for years and really like them. I was drawn to this bar because of the ingredients. I have been really pleased with this bar. The texture is nice and it lathers well for a shampoo bar. My hair feels great after using this bar, very soft and smooth. It has moisturized my scalp really well and the dry skin on my scalp is mostly gone. I like that it does not have a scent.
