Buffalo Gal's Day Balm with UV Protection is an animal-based formula designed to help protect skin against excessive UV rays while mitigating its effects with our coffee infused 100% grassfed water buffalo tallow.  It features non-nano zinc oxide and locally sourced ostrich oil that we render in house.  Now with a sweet vanilla scent!

Natural Ingredients for Skincare and Their Benefits

100% Grassfed Virgin Buffalo Tallow — Dry rendered in-house, this exceptionally nutritious fat is the basis of our products.  Lab tests reveal that our water buffalo tallow contains a small level of retinol.  Each 3.3 oz jar of this product contains approximately 100 IU of this natrually occuring vitamin.  Be sure to read about the amazing benefits of our tallow here.

Pastured Ostrich Oil - This silky and nourishing oil has a balanced fatty acid profile with many of the same attributes as emu oil, including more vitamins and more omega-3 fatty acids.  It is known for supporting faster cellular turnover and relieving burns and irritation.  It is slightly richer than emu oil, absorbs as readily without leaving skin feeling dry.  We render it in-house at low temperatures and do not refine it.

Non-nano Zinc Oxide — Not only is Zinc Oxide nourishing and anti inflammatory, it is known as a natural form of topical sun protection. Zinc Oxide is not absorbed into the skin but provides a reflective film on top. Read more about zinc oxide below.

Direct Trade Coffee — One of our favorite skin-healing secrets. Caffeine in coffee helps tighten fine lines, evens tone, inhibits growth of cancer cells, prevents inflammation, reduces puffiness, dehydrates fatty cells, minimizes the appearance of cellulite and creates a smoothing effect, aids circulation while restricting blood vessels, thus reducing redness including rosacea, acts as a powerful antioxidant and moisturizer, calms irritated skin caused by sun damage.
